History

Maliyadeva College is one of the oldest Buddhist schools in Sri Lanka. At such a time British rulers were governing Sri Lanka; few Buddhist schools were started by Anagarika Dharmapala and Col. Henry Olcott in different parts of Sri Lanka. Some of them are,

Maliyadeva College - Kurunegala

· Ananda College - Colombo

· Dharmaraja College - Kandy

· Rahula College - Mathara

· Nalanda College - Colombo etc.

· At the present time all these schools are the leading schools in Sri Lanka and doing a great service for the society to make good people.
